PV- Astrid Novara

character for:

I decided to change what species of pokemon Astrid was, for some reason she just didn't feel right to me, her personality just didn't seem fit with her appeance. But now--now it does and I like her a lot more.

Personality: From a distance, Astrid seems like a very nice person, however this is soon proven otherwise the moment that you get to know her. Short tempered and easily annoyed, Astrid prefers to take care of herself and do things on her own--rarely letting people get close to her. Those who do, are only so close and never on 'friendly' terms. Along with her short temper, Astrid has a few strang quirks, such as her resentment for anyone taller to her--mainly due to her own short height. The moment that anyone stands next to her that is taller, she immediately comes to the conclusion that she doesn't like them...and making comments about height doesn't make the situation any better, compliment or not. Despite her temper and lack of social skills, Astrid has a few positive sides to her, such as a small note book that she likes to carry around with her and doodle in. (usually stuffed inside of her turtle shell-shaped backpack.))

History:
Born into a large family, Astrid found herself surrounded by many family members, leading her to believe that she would always have someone to depend upon and never find herself alone--unfortunately for young Astrid, she soon found out otherwise as her once peaceful world came crashing down.

One night while her family was gathering food, they found themselves attacked by a pack of rabid pokemon. Fighting them off the best they could, Astrid's family was quickly out numbered by the large group of pokemon, which they could only guess had been watching them from several days. Whether it was out of fear or misfortune, Astrid's family scattered, leaving her to fend for herself against her attackers.

Determined not to give up, exhausted Astrid fought until she no barely moved, with only her sheer will keeping her going, Astrid's body soon gave out from under her, leaving her attackers to decide her fate...the last thing she saw before she faded out was seeing a unknown figure appear, knocking several of her attackers away. By the time that she finally came to, she found herself in the room of her savior, an elder Rapidash who had came to heard the commotion and rush to see what was causing it.

After talking with the Rapidash, Astrid soon discovered that they were the original leader of the aggressors and since she really had no where else to go, decided to take up their offer to stay with them...however, despite how greatful she was for her rescue, Astrid's ability to allow people close to her had been shattered...

Training with the Rapidash, who soon became like a older brother to her, Astrid eventually took over his position once he passed away--a event that hit the Wartortle-hybrid quite hard, only further crushing her trust and ability to allow people in close to her, as the one person she could confide in left the world, leaving her with a few final words. "Walls all crumble sometime m'dear...promise me that you'll allow the light in." (he sometimes spoke in weird phrases)
